The Wind Beneath His Wings

Last week, Heather tagged Julian here for this 4 Things Meme.  She tagged JUST JULIAN…but hey, no offense taken Heather   I know I am just the wifey, but here are my responses if the blogosphere is interested.  Oh, and even though this is all chain lettery, I just don’t think that I can bring myself to ping others to do this too.

Four jobs I’ve had:                           

1- Web developer and SEO specialist.  The company owner also owned an online gift company so whenever we weren’t building sites we were ordering flowers, packing gift baskets, and making the baked goods.  Christmas and Valentine’s Day were C R A Z Y.
 
2- Account Executive at The Palm Beach Post.  I was part of the Internet team that helped to bring the classified products online, launch a DART ad serving solution, and bridge the gap between the established media (newspaper) and the Internet.  It was 1998 and the electricity surrounding anything online was amazing.

3- Southeast Regional Manager for Knight Ridder’s CareerBuilder recruitment team.  I had a team of 8 from Kentucky to Miami – I lived on Miami Beach and it was at Knight Ridder where I met Julian, we moved to the Bay Area…and the internet bubble burst – G R E A T time to move to Silicon Valley.

4- Pharmaceutical Sales Rep for Novartis Pharmaceuticals.  Hey, I lived through the dotcom bust too – we had to eat.  This sounded great in theory, but I LOATHED this job.  I was the equivalent of a potato chips stock girl.

Four movies I can watch over and over:

1- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.  I swear.  I have easily watched this 100 times.  I have now passed it on to my kids as well.  My 3 year old is a true Griswold.  Best quote – “[as an entourage of suits - lead by Clark's boss - passes by single file] Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah.”  Did I say that I let my 3 year old watch this?  Um yeah…
2- Shrek 1 and 2.
3- Pulp Fiction.
4- Coming to America.

Four TV shows I love to watch:

1- Grey’s Anatomy.
2- The Golf Channel’s Big Break (yes seriously).
3- The Real World & Road Rules Challenges (again…seriously).
4- So Notorious
Look when I watch TV – the point is to NOT think.

Four places I have been on vacation:

1- Orlando.
2- Puerto Rico.
3- Tortola.
4- Key West.
Are you getting the tropical beach, drinking theme?

Four favorite dishes:

1- Artichoke & Spinach Dip from The Olive Garden
2- REAL NYC Pizza.
3- Anything from La Pastaria in Los Gatos, CA.
4- ALL Mexican Food

Four places I’d rather be:

1- Italy with Julian (especially now that we’ve read the DaVinci Code).
2- Greece with Julian.
3- Scotland with Julian – Golf Mecca, our heaven.
4- Anywhere with Julian.

This reminds me of slam books when I was in school…. anyway, since the king was the one that was actually asked, I will make Julian answer these too…. this might be a little too “groupthink” for him though – I’ll see what I can do.
