Julian’s Retort: Our “Gap Year” Post on Jobster

For the Week 5 Blog Swap we were guest authors on Jason Golberg’s Jobster Blog. We wrote a post called Take This Job And Shove It…For A Year, discussing the very un-American practice of taking a gap year in order to expand your mind and actually make you an even better job candidate.

Apparently there were some questions regarding how the text itself showed up on the Jobster blog - and well, Julian felt the need to respond…so, welcome to my life:

Love it! I feel for you Shannon!

The scary thing is I had that Mac in college (it was a hand-me-down)! My first and only. I think my mom is using it for a door-stop now.

Hope the comic strip becomes a regular feature.

Very, very funny.

As for Heather’s question posed on her reply to your Jobster post as to how to reflect the sabbatical year off on one’s resume, I have to say I was somewhat suprised. Why not just fudge the dates and lie? Nah, no one would ever do that.
