As newspaper companies scramble to save their sinking ships, their strategy is to jettison their life preservers and lifeboats.

In college I had a friend of mine who worked for the school paper get fired because the newspaper found out that she had a blog and posted a political opinion during the presidential election. To me, I see the problem papers have because they do want impartiality in reporting. But the truth is: everyone has opinions, for the most part. Especially any person who can intelligently assess a situation. Why deny that people do have opinions... and they SHOULD especially in our government. But then again, I guess that's just MY opinion.

Good post...er repost! :)
