Great concept. The employers that adopt this will undoubtedly have to re-think how they fund talent acquisition, changing from a transaction-oriented, “per req” basis to a strategic annualized budget. Those that do will reap the benefits of not only a more robust candidate community (aka “pipeline”) but also better quality, as the stellar talent will gravitate to where they can shine brightest.

Great to see you posting again…as always…you hit the nail on the head.

With the “ownership” of an Employer Brand and a full understanding of the Voice of the Candidate, a transformation takes place. Employers can no longer take the “load job req and click to hire approach.”

Great stuff! Thanks again!

I like the concept of the CCM. While there are definitely some companies giving the candidate a good experience there are more that are getting it wrong.

Thanks for the insight and information. Knowledge is power.

I think we are now being swamped by Social Networking that the work social will no longer apply in the real work.

So that when people engage in ‘Face-to-Face’ social intercourse thay won’t know what to say.

The conversation will probably go something like this, Hi are you on Twitter,

oh good, What’s your ID,

oh good, I’ll contact you there.

Bye

It’s been a while since I read this, but something new struck me. Candidates expect the same social experience in recruiting as they do elsewhere on the web.

That’s really it in a nutshell.

I’m going to have to repeat that, and use it in my marketing as well (with proper attribution of course). Hope you guys are doing well – the panel never materialized, of course.
